Saving Tip For Your Wedding Day: Grooming The Old Ride

By Stuart Aaron

Wedding Ceremonies are as beautiful and romantic as they are very pricey. Let us not debate that fact. Everything reeks of a dollar sign from the time leading to the big event when the boy proposes to the girl with an engagement ring to the honeymoon break. But as any penny pincher will say, you can always cut cost.

Saving shouldn't be an awful affair. Your dream wedding is still feasible even with a cut budget. Cutting cost may mean having roses or carnation rather than the easily-wilt tulips. Or search for thrift shops that offer deduction when you purchase a bulk of that variety. You may make your own keepsake, your gown and the dresses may be sewn or leased, food may be cooked by a family member, and your friend volunteers may organize the music and the whole event. Everything can be bought or made cheaper. Well, almost.

There are items that, no matter how much you try, stay costly. Your wedding car can cost you from a few hundred dollars to more than a thousand. Even if you look for a less expensive car lease, it will still cost your hundreds of dollars.

So rather than paying that much just for a few hours of rental, why not just utilize your old but operational car? Turn something old into vintage. The difference is old is outdated, but vintage is retro. People are into retro nowadays so even if your vehicle is already decades old, you can save a lot by turning it into your wedding car rather than renting.

You can do this by grooming your auto. What's actually good about this is that not only will you save hundreds of dollars in lease, you get to rejuvenate your auto's beauty as well. This lasts for more than a few measly hours also. You need to groom your car on a regular basis anyway, so why not just use it for your wedding day?

Nowadays, everything vintage is admired. So even if your automobile doesn't fall into the category of the high end class, you need not worry. Even your old Volks will do if it is still running. Color isn't a factor anymore also. While only white would do in the past, any other hue available will also do so no need for a fresh paintjob.

You would need the required decorations, of course. Add the blossoms on the hood and the the "Just Married" sign at the rear of the automobile and you're all set. - 42913
